Holbrook KOA

While in Holbrook, we stayed at the KOA.  It’s classified as Journey, not a Destination park.  The owners are in the process of making significant upgrades.  They are putting in a new sewer line to the showers, planting trees, adding new camping cabins, and adding new sites.  We were on #54, which is one of the new sites.  The lady working the desk was very friendly and nice.

Our site sloped noticeably to the right.  The HWH system had a difficult time leveling due to slope.  The new sites are wide enough to park the towed vehicle by the RV.  They’re separated by six foot tall fences.  Power was good.  Water pressure was low, we had to use the water pump to rinse in the shower.  Verizon had 4 bars of 4G.  We did not try the park wifi.  The laundry was clean.  A wash is $2, and the dryers are 75 cents for 10 minutes.  That’s not a typo, 75 cents for 10 minutes.  No data on the restrooms or showers.

This is our view from the side yard.

It’s a nice park, and we would stay here again, despite the two dings.
