Avery, Idaho

Yesterday we drove to Avery, Idaho.  It's a former division point for the Milwaukee Road.  It used to provide an enormous payroll.  Now the population of Avery is 54.  Yep, 54.  They have an old railway car there.

Jim looking at stuff.

The original depot.  It's now a post office, library and museum.

There's also a gift shop and an RV park.  We originally were thinking we would stay there for the Route of the Hiawatha.  Happy we are that we did not.  It's OUT there.
