4th of July

Today was a beautiful fourth. We rode from Fall City out through Carnation. There was a small town parade in progress in Carnation. Here is the local high school marching band.

Kids on a giant dump truck.

Cowgirl Spirit. They're an excellent organization that rehabs abandoned horses and finds them homes.

We rode on out into the hinterlands. I love this route, it's still a low traffic ride because there is so much agriculture. Every year I post this picture; this is probably my favorite place on earth.

A barn with horses. The valley is horse and cow heaven. Not too hot, not too cold, and lots of stuff to eat.

Getting lunch was difficult. We were surprised at how many restaurants were closed. If you remember the TV series "Twin Peaks", you will recognize this as the purveyor of the damn fine cherry pie.

I hope you all had a stellar holiday.
