Life is now better. More on that later.
First a nature picture. This is a saguaro in the park. The green bumps are blossom buds that haven't popped yet. I like the bird in flight. That was taken with my new Canon point and shoot, it was so bright I couldn't really tell what I was capturing, I just held the button down with it set on continuous shooting. So it was cool to see a bird on the wing.
Ken and Rachael of Cameron's Reliable were out yesterday and today. This is the trailer Ken built with his own hands. He said it took about 2 months, he built it in the driveway of their house after work. He has a drill press, welding equipment, redundant inverters, tools everywhere. There is a place for everything, and everything is in its place. It's a thing of beauty.
This is the new air conditioner going up on to the roof yesterday. Last night I was sort of depressed because it was noisy. It was debilitatingly loud, along with making a crinkling noise; like compressed cellophane expanding. When I had the convection oven on (with its noisy fan) and the air on, I had to turn the TV up so loud that we could feel the subwoofer making our internal organs jump. We mentioned it to Ken today, and he cut into the duct work to release the tension in the duct, which took away the crinkle noise, and then the installation of closed cell foam quieted the whole thing down. It's amazing, it's so quiet, and it's so cool. The last few months have been like being in a hot wind tunnel, but it's very comfortable now.
Today was also inverter day. It's installed and it's good. You'll notice I'm not discussing it in any depth, that would be because I'm still not sure what it does. My understanding is binary, it has to be there, and if it's not working, it's bad. Binary - good/bad.
Tomorrow we're going to hook the truck to the RV and tow it around the RV park. I don't anticipate any problems with towing, but it's always good to do a complete mock up of your environment before launching in to the great wide open.
Unless the universe decides otherwise, we're planning on a Sunday morning departure. We will drive to Blythe, CA and overnight there on our way to Temecula. The Blythe weather forecast is for a high of 106. That's hotter than when we stayed there last June.
Happy hooking (the truck)! Your RV is so pretty. Love how you captured the bird over the cactus.
