Chula Vista RV Park and Marina

This is the marina behind the RV park.  It's big!

There is a city park between the marina and the RV park that is heavily used for barbeques, baby showers and jumping castles.  People go to a lot of effort, they haul in chafing dishes, tents, coolers and a lot of food.  There are also many trees which one only sees in California.  I don't know what this is, but it has lovely blossoms.

We got up and rode the bikes today.  We're at the A on the right of the map.  We took the bike path south and then up the Silver Strand to Coronado Island.

We had planned to take the ferry back across the water, but today was the Run the Bridge event.  Many people had run across and were waiting for the ferry to return to San Diego.  We decided to return whence we came, rather than wait.

This is a house facing the Coronado Golf Course.

This is a close up of the roof.  I left the photo big so you can see the detail of the shakes.  It sort of looks like a Hobbit house.

There are evaporating ponds along the bike path.  They're making salt.  Who knew?

 So that was the weekend.

  1. Probably don't want a roof like that in snow country!
