Friday was day two of body work and paint. Apparently the previous owner had some issues with spatial relations, which resulted in the passenger side of the RV being repainted more than once. We had some shaving done on door edges and slide edges to prevent rubbing and the popping off of any more paint. This is grinding.
This is masking and painting.
The passenger side looks much better now. It's not perfect, but perfection can only be obtained by a complete removal and replacement of all paint. That would be very expensive. When we owned an old house, we applied the mantra of "just don't look there" to its imperfections. We will do that here.
The drive down from Murrieta to San Diego was tedious. Given that it was Friday afternoon, there were many cars, many of which were driven by idiots that don't understand that RVs do not stop on a dime. Lot's of cars zipping in front of us. Jim is doing very well with the new bigger vehicle. I have not yet mustered the courage to drive it. I need to take a driving class. My skills in reverse in a car are minuscule, which makes it difficult for me to be the ground guide when we are backing in to slots that are really too small for us (like the one we are presently in). It's a process.
San Diego is nice, as usual. There is a moderate marine push which is giving us filtered sunshine.
