We're at the Seven Feathers RV resort in Canyonville, OR. This is one of our favorite places to stay on a transit. Staff smiles at you, they're nice, they lead you to your site, the sites are level and satellite friendly, and it's just a lovely park. The rhodies are about done blooming, this is one of the last intact blossoms. It's unseasonably hot here - it's in the 90's. Generally May in Oregon is still wet and cold.
We ended up getting new Koni shocks at Henderson's. They have made a difference in the ride. It's softer. When we go over bridges and bumps we don't get the bang that we used to get. They were worth it just for the reduction in noise from the banging. They also tightened up the steering. I do notice Jim's hands moving less than they were on the steering wheel.
As I mentioned, last year we had the braided metal valve extenders removed. They had been slowly leaking and then they started quickly leaking. When the tire guy removed them, the valve stem for the outside dual was facing inward, which meant buying a tire pressure gauge with an angled end. The valve stem for the inside dual was too short and did not come out far enough. Both were a major pain to deal with. So today we had new valve stems installed for the rear wheels. It doesn't sound like much, but it's a lot of labor. Wheels must be removed and one side of the tire must be taken off the rim so they can get in there. There's a rubber gasket that is installed that prevents the valve stem for the inside dual from wiggling.
We liked Henderson's and would go back. They're very enthusiastic in their recommendations of what can be done to improve ride and handling of your RV. I wouldn't go as far as calling it up selling, but they do have a full line of products for vehicle improvement. We took a time out and considered what our original goals were, and pared the list down. If we win Powerball, we can do it all.
Amazing how hot it is on the West coast right now! I hope you get some relief soon!
