It was unbelievably windy today. Actually, it still is, it's building as I write this. Since we were tired, we did some minor plumbing fixing on the RV and then headed out to Loa. Loa is 18 miles west of here on Hwy 24. They have a grocery store and they have cell coverage. Between here and Loa is Bicknell.
Bicknell is 11 miles from Torrey. They have a liquor store and a regional medical center. There is a pharmacy there, as well. This is news you can use, because it's the only pharmacy for many miles. I am presently suffocating because of the grass pollen and the cottonwood tree stuff that is flying though the air. I bought Flonase to help with the breathing. It's not a great drug because it makes one's cataracts worse, but I can't breathe. Anyway, they also have a tiny ER and a helipad for things they can't deal with there.
Bicknell also has Curry Pizza and Wings. They can meet all of your dining requirements, Indian food, pizza and wings. What more could you ask for out in the middle of nowhere?
The brown blobs in the grass are bison. If you look carefully, there is a baby between the two blobs on the left.
It's pretty rural out there.
It was a slow day, but the feet are pretty happy for a break.
Pretty rural out there...
ReplyDeleteHaha,
Your landscape is awesome, and that does include the sight of a Curry Pizza place rising up from the landscape.
It always pays to take a break, especially if you can't breathe!! I've tried the flonase ... never worked for me. Hope you're breathing better soon.
ReplyDeleteCurry and Pizza - not two food odors I'd think would be compatible but maybe so. Rural though it is, beautiful landscape.
ReplyDeleteit does look hazy in that top picture. the cottonwood trees out west are potent! the ones in the city never bothered me but when we took a trip out west while they were blooming as soon as I would roll down the car window or get out of the car my head would stop up completely.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful field of green.
