A Walk and Closure on the Tile

We arrived at the Diamond Hill RV Park on Thursday.  We saw Erik at Elite RV and he sent us on a mission to go find tile. We have a broken tile and a tile that is lifting up in the kitchen.  We're also losing our grout.  When our RV was built, grout was still evolving for the flexible interior of a bus.  Our grout was installed before the formula was perfected. So, one of the things we're having done on this visit to Erik is to have the grout redone, as well as replacing a couple of tiles.  Our particular tile has been discontinued.  Apparently our shade of brown tile has completely fallen out of favor.  We have been to many tile stores and have found nothing that is even remotely close.  I keep suggesting and accent tile or two in blue, but Jim is resisting that suggestion.
Anyway, after another day looking at tile, we went over to the Ruth Bascom Riverwalk.  It was a very pleasant couple of miles on our feet.  We saw these RVs in the parking lot of the park.  They appear to be living here.

They have some massive rhodies still in bloom.

We saw this young couple coming across the bridge into the park. She is wearing cruel shoes.

So, after much driving about and looking at tile, I think this is as good as it is going to get.  It has a little bit more pink than our tile.  However, when we owned our house in West Seattle, which was old, we learned to just not look at the flaws.  Wavy ceiling?  Don't look there.  Dent in the floor from stuff falling during an earth quake?  Don't look there.  It works!

After we were home for awhile, it sprinkled ever so slightly, but enough to make a little rainbow.

If it doesn't rain tomorrow we're planning on taking out the road bikes for the first time since we left Tucson.  Hopefully we will remember how to clip in to our pedals.

  2. I think the tile works well. With the tiles having a marbled look, your new chose appears to work, at least from the photo.
