Sunflower RV Park - Surprise AZ

Today was a terrible day!  Terrible route!  Terrible RV park!  Terrible squared.  We departed Las Vegas and headed south on NV95.  We cut east on NV163 to Laughlin.   This is a sign at the brake check area.  When there are brake check areas, you know they are serious about the downhills.  It was slow driving to Laughlin because we had to keep our speed down on the downhills, and then, of course, we were slow up hill.

This is the final, scary steep hill into Laughlin.

After crossing into Arizona, we took 68 to Kingman, got on 40E, and then off on AZ93 towards Wickenberg.  It took FOREVER to get to Wickenberg.  Up, down, up, down.  It was a pretty drive, but as a route to take just to get somewhere, it was terrible.  We will not be doing this again.

The Sunflower RV park is in Surprise, which is the northwestern most corner of the Phoenix megalopolis.  This park is way overpriced for a narrow dirt pull through with side by side hookups.  The slot is long, but very narrow.  The park as a whole is not visually appealing and we will not be back here, either.  So, note to self, this is not a good route by which to return to Tucson.
Tomorrow we're up and out to Tucson.  It will be good to be back.
