This will be bad. We're going to be sick and poor when this administration is done with us.
I couldn't even watch it. All the applause and cheering, and his repeated assertion that 'no one can even believe it' and 'never before in the history of this country'.

ReplyDeleteThe crowd was carefully picked. They must be loyal to him, first and foremost. Those are the people that sit in those crowds. Did you notice who was not there? Elon Musk. That was not by accident either. The president is beginning to worry that he's so unpopular that it will affect his numbers, the highest polling numbers the country has ever seen. Everybody tells him that can't believe how popular he is. They've never seen anything like it. (etc. etc. ad infinitum)
DeleteNo one held a gun to the head of U.S. corporations to send jobs and manufacturing overseas. All they were after were profits, stock buy backs and huge salaries for their CEO’s, all the while outsourcing jobs. Tariffs put the burden on consumers at the same time Congress rewards corporations with massive tax breaks. Not a single corporation will suffer with tariffs as they pass it on to the consumer. Once again the middle class pay to put more money in the pockets of the rich and corporations.
ReplyDeleteWith the market losing ground, I expect some of the billionaires won't be very happy with this news. Sadly it is those who can't afford the price to be paid, will be the most impacted.
ReplyDeleteHis Audience is Staged and Cherry Picked to make it seem every insane or nonsensical thing he says is applauded. He is a corporate failure and why he constantly has to run a Con, he can't legitimately make as much money as he squanders. He was always corrupt in his ways and criminal in behaviors, so, he is what he's always been. To me the travesty is that so many Americans idolize him for what he is and has always been, that's really Sick.

ReplyDeleteI heard one analysis on NPR that he does these drastic things and then rescinding them thereby saving the country and being the hero. Everyone always seems to forget that he causes the disasters in the first place.
Yeah, something is up with Russia. The White House excuse that sanctions had stopped trade with Russia makes no sense, since Trump imposed tariffs on smaller countries that trade less with the USA than Russia. It's dirty.
