End of the Week in Tucson

It has warmed up a bit here, although the nights are still cold.  I ordered two space heaters from Amazon.  The first one arrived Monday and has been a complete and total bust.  Something is wrong with the fan, as in the fan doesn't come on, the ceramic thing gets hot and stinks and then it shuts itself off.  Very disappointing. The second has shipped, but not arrived.  Hopefully it will be better.  A complete review shall follow.
Yesterday was not the day we had planned.  The plan was to ride Gates Pass and do a hard workout.  First problem was a thorn in the chamois in my shorts.  Don't know how it got there, but it was in a bad location.  Then, Jim's bike threw the chain, and then refused to go into the small chain ring.  Lack of low gearing on Gates Pass is not good.  So, we turned around, went home for a different pair of shorts, and rode to the bike shop to get the bike adjusted.  After that, we decided we'd do a long ride to determine if we like the new bike seats we put on.
That put us on the bike trail where we saw these memorials.  Tucson is the only place I have lived where there are so many markers for the departed.  This is for Abby Martinez.

This is for Annette, 1979 to 2012.

Our new laptops arrived this morning.  Transferring my photos will be painful.  Actually I have no idea how to do that.  They're in Picasa, grouped by when they were downloaded.  I am not sure how to move them without losing that organization.  Could be a long day.

Ken of Cameron's reliable is in the park, hopefully he will be here next.  We still have quite the punch list to be fixed, and only 30 days left.  Unlike years past, we will not be here in April.
