Riding Uphill on the Road

Yesterday's ride was cut short by thunder and lightning. Today we took the road bikes out to climb from Sunriver towards Mt. Bachelor. Again we have to learn the lesson of lapse rate. It was cold coming back down. Next time I'm bringing the knee warmers regardless of whether I think I'll need them or not.

There is a lot of snow left. It's farther down the hill than it was last year.

Other than that I have nothing to report.

  1. is Century Drive even open? I have skiied at this time of the year up there in the past ;) We would buy watermelons that people would put into snowbanks on the side of the hwy to keep cold as we went up to go camping. It snowed on us in August fishing on Sparks Lake right behind Bachelor. Enjoy yourselves, keep on ridin'.
