Ho Hum. How are you doing in the time of forest fires? We are bored spitless. The AQI has been such that neither one of us wants to go out and inhale. Plus it's hot. When we get up, the first thing we do is make the air conditioning colder.
Yesterday we drove out to Spokane Valley to Squeaky's car wash. It's touchless and they spray a wax on it that is actually effective. Back in the day, Jim would wash the car, clay the car to pick up any missed dust, and then wax the car. It was pretty much all day, especially when we had mini-vans. This is better.
Here is some local fauna. This is a young turkey.
A California quail sitting on top of an evergreen that was pruned into a point by the previous owners. He's keeping an eye on mom and the kids. They are the state bird of California.
Jim is healing quickly. After uncovering the incision I counted stitches, there 13. They're really close together, and very neatly done. I am now a believer in having a plastic surgeon do the Mohs if one is available.

This is from today, July 23. Much progress has been made. The green area has been reabsorbed, and the black eye is well on its way out. The sutures dissolve, and appear to be starting that process. If you look slightly above his right eye, that is a previous Mohs scar.

Other than this, I have nothing further to say. The country continues on its way to hell in a hand basket basket because the spineless republican reptiles continue to let him run amok. It's interesting that when a Democrat is president, they position themselves as blocking everything. But now, with a man deep in dementia, anything he wants is just fine.
He's healing up nicely! The smoke hasn't wound its way west...yet. Our air quality is good. (19) The spineless GOP reptiles indeed. We are in deep, deep doo doo.
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy to hear he's Healing so well and they did such a good job of stitching up the Wound so that Scarring won't be bad. As for the Heat, and Fires, all States around us are on Fire and so is the Northern Portion of our State. It was 118 Today and I felt every Degree of it and it's Monsoon Season and so we had the Humidity as well, which, Humidity is The Devil. It felt like a Sauna and my Clothing felt like I'd just jumped in the Pool fully Clothed!!! Ugh.

ReplyDeleteGreat looking stitches. Jim could pull off acting in a prison film- a face you don't mess with. We are getting a bit of smoke but nothing like in past ears. Washington fires are doing their worst. The witto tiny babies in washington DC need nappy changes . Need to be sent to bed...possibly forever (where's Mitch)
ReplyDeleteIt is 85 degrees F., no humidity and no smoke today in Massachusetts. Not a bad day. When the wind changes direction, the smoke returns making the sky dark and the air terrible.

The reptiles in DC need to put their big-boy pants on. That is if they can manage to find them! I'm not confident.

Dang, that's quite a long area that had to be MOHs'd (not sure that's a word!) Glad Jim had a good surgeon and hope the healing process continues well. Sorry you're dealing with bad AQI and smoke. We only had one minor day of it in NC but nothing as bad as friends to the north.

ReplyDeleteI don't doubt you and we will be dealing with smoke throughout the summer. We're getting extreme heat and lots of humidity (the latter unusual) with frequent thunderstorms. Between the lightning and winds, the smoke seems to be everywhere.
Glad to see Jim is healing so quickly. It is 3 am here, and I am a sneezing mess. We use a window fan because Tim likes the bedroom door closed at night. It normally isn't an issue. Now, with the fires, it sure is.
