Data Breach and the Middle East

Grok is twitter's AI.  The MAGAts don't like it because it is actually even handed in its opinions.  There was that time that someone changed its programming to make it believe in South African white genocide, but that has been fixed.  Anyway, Grok maintains a profile on each twitter user, I have no idea why.  This is mine.

Allison, a retired RV adventurer, champions progressive causes like taxing the rich and women's rights while savoring NASCAR and poutine debates.
Phyleaux passionately urges world leaders to arm Ukraine and dives into diverse chats, from curtains to telecoms
Anthony Bourdain always wanted to punch Henry Kissinger over Cambodia

I have no idea where the NASCAR and poutine references came from, or curtains to telecoms.  I think this might be an example of an AI hallucinating. Phyleaux is my user name on twitter, in case you are wondering.

There has been the mother of all data breaches.  16 billion passwords have been hacked.  This is the Forbes article.  So, over the next few days we'll be changing passwords.  I hate doing that, I'm always afraid of doing something wrong and losing access to Google, which has my blog.  The other thing I've read is that Microsoft is going to force us all to quit using passwords and switch to passkeys.  I know nothing about this, it's going to require viewing some you tubes on the subject.  I think these were the first people to talk about the breach.

47 has decided to un-ban asbestos.  Yes, he's bringing back the source of mesothelioma, a terrible form of lung cancer.  Great, really great.

This happened yesterday.  Which one will he obey?  My money is on Putin.

So, we're all waiting with bated breath to see what happens next in the Mid East and in Ukraine.  47 seems to have completely abandoned Ukraine, the EU must step up immediately.

  1. There is a LOT going on and we don't have stable Leadership, he's messing up the U.S. and our Economy, so his involvement in Foreign Affairs and having an ability to Solve their Issues when he can't even Solve our own, well, I'm not confident in whatever rash or outright cray-cray decisions he and his Cabal of Vulgarians might come up with.

  2. It appears that Grok summarized this from your posts. You can turn off that access in settings under Privacy and Safety menu item. When I click on Grok while in my profile it says, "not enough posts to summarize" although I didn't allow access.

Also, for some reason Forbes isn't the Forbes of old and frequently posts these hysterical clickbait posts. This post summarizes what's going on and it isn't new material and it's likely collected via "infostealer" malware so unless you have that malware on your computer you aren't likely affected. This website has a funny name but has been around for a long time. https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/security/no-the-16-billion-credentials-leak-is-not-a-new-data-breach/

    1. I've noticed that about Forbes lately. I clicked on one article concerning Windows PCs at some point, and now I get all kinds of alarmist crap from them in my newsfeed. Surprising, coming from a "business" magazine. Thanks for the bleepingcomputer link; super helpful. I think if I haven't been compromised by now, I'm probably ok, for the moment.

  3. Didn't mean to leave that last comment anonymous. Didn't realize I wasn't signed in. Jim

  4. There's so much false information.
47 doesn't know what to do about Iran and would probably change his mind, too late, anyway.
Asbestos has never been completely banned in USA or UK, but its use is strictly monitored.

  5. 47 abandoned Ukraine the day he took office. I'm not changing my passwords. What's the point, some other breach will come along soon enough.

  6. Hmmmm...hadn't heard about the password thing. I think I'll sit tight for now, especially if it happened before the beginning of the year (as the article said). Poor Ukraine has been completely sidelined.

  7. Our Prime Minister is off to Europe, first for a Canada-EU summit to discuss more intercountry trade and defense. Then he's heading to the Netherlands for the NATO meeting where defense funding is expected to be further discussed. I suspect there will be discussion of additional funding for Ukraine.
I swear IQ45 wants everyone to die of starvation or some other type of horrible death.

  8. Do we have just one google password? I don't even know. I'm actually seriously asking. I always hope I'll be too boring for anyone to be interested in me. Do you think Grok has profiles of past Twitter users?

    1. You probably have one google password, and it works across gmail, blogger, photos, maps, and etc. I don't know about past user profiles, my knowledge of twitter is shallow.
