Shopping and Thinking About the Month of May

Greetings Earthlings! It's been a warm one this week. We're noticing the sky is getting a lighter blue as the temperatures go up. This was taken up at Catalina State Park in Oro Valley.

Would someone like to explain to me when luggage got so expensive? We're going up to Seattle in April, and we need a second carry on roller bag. The prices at Kohl's and Costco are just stupid! I ended up ordering one from Overstock.com. While at Kohl's we got new place mats for the RV. One of the drawbacks to being a full time RVer is that one can not shop as one did when while living in a house. I miss the occasional bout of retail therapy. So we got place mats, and 4 polycarbonate glasses for water. Actually the glasses came from Home Goods. If you have Home Goods in your area, and you have not been there, you should go. They have lot's of decorating stuff and kitchen stuff. We enjoy visiting there.
The park is starting to empty out. Easter is early this year, and many retirees with grandchildren feel they need to be home for photos and family stuff. We're beginning to feel like the last kids at camp already. Where to spend May is becoming a topic of some discussion. May is a difficult month. Last year we spent it in Germany. This year we'll be in the US, but the question is where. It's too hot here, and we're sort of tired of being in Tucson. It's too cold in Bend, and thus far our experiences in California have been less than stellar. We spent May 2010 in Petaluma and they had one of worst months in recorded history. We were in San Diego in October and it was cold and overcast. So, at the moment the Golden State is not calling to us. We may have to reconsider. Wonder what the May seasonal averages are for St. George Utah.
Other than thinking about May and luggage, we have zippity doo-dah all to report.

  1. I would suggest heading east. :) Maybe not all the way past the Mississippi. Or Idaho is supposed to be nice also.

  2. I am not too crazy about St. George. Montana is a great state!
