Yesterday was Nashville to Little Rock. It was a long drive. We stopped at a rest stop and what did we see but convicts! The big guy on the left is wearing a polo shirt with "US Extradition Services" stenciled on the back. The prisoners were handcuffed and their ankles were shackled. It was really weird to see that out in America's heartland.
Then we had the honor of participating in Little Rock setting a new world's record for most rain in a 24 hour period. Yep, we were there. Our site had 2 to 3 inches of standing water on it this morning. It was just ooky. We did get a break in the rain when we were leaving, so it was not a total disaster.
This was taken somewhere in Arkansas. They have the most interesting place names there.
This is from today, it just rained pigs and chickens. The first 100 miles just sucked!
It's hard to tell from this picture, but this is a semi that is 180 degrees from the direction of travel it should be. It dumped its load of batteries in the ditch.
So, we're in Oklahoma City. We'll do a little sightseeing and RV maintenance while we're here.
