We've had a bumper crop of baby marmots this year. We drove by a facility on Indian Trail Road, and their yard was full of them. We've got one trying to establish a burrow in the front retaining wall. This will not stand. Lest you think I am unfeeling about critters, there are miles of basalt cliffs behind the neighborhood that are very tall, and they could all be happy there. They do not need to be here digging.
There is not too much happening here. The guy across the cul de sac is getting a new roof. His crew keeps odd hours. The house up the hill from us has a crew that worked until 9pm last night. Different work ethic. Across the cul de sac crew is doing other work along side the roof so they're part time, that would annoy the living snot out of me.
It has warmed up. We're riding. There is a lot of this blooming in the park.
47 went to the G7 where he lost his way several times. The other attendees would go get him and bring him back to the fold. There was a fair amount of this, as well.
We're not convinced he knew where he was, or why.
Macron invited him for dinner at Versailles. That is where Germany signed the surrender papers after WWI. While 47 was there, he signed surrender papers to Iran, as well. We don't think he understood the optics of signing there. Macron played him.
Meanwhile, the Reflecting Pool is full of algae, the blue coating is coming up due to the use of hydrogen peroxide to kill the algae, and the entire thing is becoming a lost cause. Uniformed officers of some sort are arresting tourists who are reaching in to get a sample of the floating blue coating. I have no idea what they're charging them with.
Other than that, life moves on and the ice maker has quit making ice. I am very annoyed about this.
Not the best timing on losing your ice maker -- in the middle of summer! Are we certain the hydrogen peroxide has dislodged the pool coating, or is it just a crappy job? (Not that those two options are mutually exclusive.)

DeleteVandalism. I read they are being charged with vandalism. And of course 47 is ranting about how democrats vandalised his perfect pool. Also read that when all the G7 members were in a meeting room waiting on 47 who was late, as usual, and when they finally started without him is when he walked in saying "I'm the boss." This is a common tactic with him, making everyone wait on him, as a sign of dominance. And yeah, all those pictures of him standing or sitting alone while everyone else socialized, no one wanted to talk to him.
ReplyDeleteI've just read another description of the paint job...no prep at all, no sanding, grinding, no roughing of the smooth surface necessary for paint to grip and they sprayed it on instead of rolling it on forcing it into the pits that weren't there anyway. Guaranteed to fail.

Definitely not a good time for the Ice maker to crap out. As for IQ45 it was no surprise he crapped out at the G7.

ReplyDeleteJesus he does indeed look "Lost" and like he doesn't know where he is, why he's there, what a National Embarrassment. His Handlers should be putting him where he Needs to be, in Long Term Care, before he does any more Harm to others. It is not so unusual for a once Nice person to go Rogue and Unlovely when Cognitive Decline, Dementia, Illness Mentally compromises Personality and Behavior. But, he's never been a Nice Person, or a Well One IMO, so it's just magnifying what he already was, a vile Human with instincts to be cruel, inhumane and self-serving to an extreme and at the expense of others. He is as Mad as Hitler ever was IMO and the Optics of where he Signed were not Lost on the rest of us... he was indeed Played by Macron... I can't feel badly about that tho', given how he's treated out long time Allies, Friends and best Trading Partners. He has destroyed America's Reputation and broken Trust, which may never be regained now. Greenwater was the Contractor who did the Green Water... yes, those Jokes just Write themselves, you can't make this shit up... it's the White Trashiest WH in History, and that is the bulk of the staunchest of his existing Base... so... no Surprises, all the Money in the World couldn't Buy him any Class or actual Respect, which is why he's had to resort to being Cruel, being a Bully and Feared.
