Daily Trivia and the War of Stupid

Yesterday was a good day.  We were up and out very early (for us) for a ride.  We returned and had time for a cup of coffee before the landscapers arrived.  They trimmed all of the sages, and they look really good.  There are eight of them, two are huge, and that is something I don't want to do.  Also, debris disposal is a big issue.  They they fixed the irrigation leak we discovered the day before.  Again, they did in minutes what would take hours.  So, that was a good day, ride plus no effort yard work.

I can't remember if I've posted these cactus before.  I have no new pictures, so I'll used these anyway.  The top photo are Mammalaria,  I don't know what the cactus in the second photo is, probably in the Cholla family.  They look dangerous.

It's not possible to know exactly how the war in Iran is going.  The media is afraid to cover it in detail.  It's still possible to know that it didn't need to happen.  Iran had told Witkoff and Kushner that they would give up their uranium.  Those two either did not understand what was said to them, or failed to relay it up the chain.  So, here we are.

Sources say Trump purchases specific shoes for his inner circle, and that everyone is "afraid not to wear them." Marco Rubio was photographed wearing the alleged shoes despite them being too large. This is just sad.  Apparently all the men have received shoes that are too large.  They're cheap shoes, as well.  Florsheims from China.  People keep asking about the 25th Amendment. His entire Cabinet is walking around in shoes that don’t fit because they’re scared to take them off. The 25th is never happening.

Secretary of State Rubio's feet.

Top Trump officials acknowledged to lawmakers during recent classified briefings that they did not plan for the possibility of Iran closing the Strait of Hormuz in response to strikes.  Think about that.  How stupid are they to not plan for that contingency.  Hegseth has said that the Strait is actually open, unless the Iranians fire weapons at ships coming through.  He's such a genius.

I think this is the tweet of the week. "
I feel like if I was tasked with not starting a war and bringing back US manufacturing jobs, I could have done a better job than this."
Derek Guy
Derek is a frequent poster on twitter, he writes about style and menswear.  He's also very knowledgeable about shoe construction techniques.  I have learned much about collar gaps, buttoning points on the suit jacket and why a man must wear a cummerbund with a tuxedo.

It is supposed to be 102F (38.89) this coming weekend.  The weather heads are talking about the mother of all heat domes sitting over the west.  Looking forward to it!

That's it, that's all I've got.

  1. NO war, it is an "excursion" according to the cooked brain man and his dopey clown shoe wearing A lickers.
I hope that you can find a cool pool to sit in during the warmth! Pretty early to be behaving so hotly. You better pack your gear and get back up north soon.

  2. A bunch of totally unqualified but look good on tv (the only real requirement, that and total loyalty to T) idiots in clown shoes are surprised when the country they bombed with no warning retaliated. What is it about that man that has them totally in thrall/fear? And even if they knew Iran was willing to give up their uranium, T and H would have bombed them anyway because that's what they wanted to do. Little boys with cherry bombs.

  3. It boggles my mind that this war was started by a group of dumbasses that seem to be taken by surprise to see that Iran was going to fight back. We have kicked over a hornet nest. It makes me sick to hear him insisting that other countries should get involved. 5000 troops headed there now. This is a mess. There is no plan. We are dropping a billion dollars a day. Trump says Iran wants to make a deal. Iran says that there has been no discussion of a deal. The fact that the military has simply bought into this with no pushback. Iran had been given a 2 week deadline. We attacked without warning in violation of our own word.

  4. The shoes are just another example of stupid.
The Felon has asked for NATO to help in Iran, and most have rightfully said, "No". They were not consulted in the first place.
In my opinion, BN and the Felon are calling all the shots.

  5. The Mother of all Heat Domes is indeed over Metro Phoenix, supposed to reach 106 Today and we had Heat Advisories for Days already. Usually they don't issue those until May and don't hit triple digits this early. So, this Summer is gonna be super Scary if it continues to be 18-22 over the average, that could mean 140 Degrees and shit will just Die... all shit... all Living shit will just Die in those conditions. We have had Cacti exploding for the past Two Years and it wasn't this Hot yet... I'm concerned, very. About a lot of things besides Climate Change being Real... of coarse... since... Insanity at top levels abounds and the Crazy is endemic now in America it seems... and being Normalized. Even those of us diagnosed with SMI aren't as Crazy as these in Leadership and so that is Telling. None of them could possibly be passing Psyche Exams... especially Donnie Two Dolls... coz he's so Wheels Off it can't even be debated.

  6. I just read about the Trump cabinet's ill-fitting shoes in the NYT today, and you had the story four days earlier! I guess The Times still aspires to be "not always first, but best." (Whether they are in fact best is debatable.) It's astonishing how everyone is too scared of Trump to not wear his cheap, oversized shoes. Clown world...with nuclear weapons!
