Turkeys, Fire, That Administration and a Dark Enlightenment Article

We've seen the turkeys again.  There are two females walking around with young turkeys.  Here we see the ladies, the youths have gone into the red twig dogwoods.  

Now the ladies are leaving the neighbor's back yard.  What they are oblivious to is that one youth is trapped behind that fence in a planting area, which you can see above.  It flew to the top of the railing, lost its balance, and ended up on the other side of the fence.  It was frantic, moving side to side, sticking it's head through the rungs and crying piteously.  Mom kept walking.  So, he'd already flown to the top of the railing, why did he not do that again?  Jim walked over to see if there was a fence gate that would open and we could shoo the turkey out.  The youth proceeded to fly up to the top of a 40 foot tree.  So, young turkey's critical thinking skills do not appear to be that good.

Today we rode up the Aubrey White parkway a bit, and then out towards a new to us trailhead, Morin.  It was the site of the fire a couple of weeks ago, which was named the Aubrey fire.  It was not large, but it was near part of the park where people can bring their horses and ride them there.  I think it's a camp ground, I don't really know because we can't ride our bikes there, the horses do not like it.  We've never gone out far enough to reach that trail head.

Look at the ground, notice all the rock.  This area is basalt central.  The bluff in the distance is basalt, as well.

Here we are over looking the suspension bridge that one takes to see the Bowl and Pitcher rock formation.  I couldn't see it, there seemed to be a lot of big rocks.

It was a good ride, the closer you get to Morin, the steeper it gets, so there is exercise to be had there.

So, what are we outraged about today?  

RFKJr wants to get rid of the preventative services task force, they're too woke.  These are the people that determine what cancer screenings are going to be covered by Medicare and other health insurance providers.  So, I guess that's the end of colonoscopies and mammograms.  This guy is a lunatic and a menace. 

Apparently, there is a move afoot to return to the good old days where pre-existing conditions stopped a person from having coverage.  Those were dark days when United Health Care would not cover a person if they'd had asthma, or acne, or a hang nail.  MAHA.

As we all know, 47 is in Scotland, cheating at golf.  He's opening a new course tomorrow I think, at tax payer expense.  Protests follow him everywhere, with bagpipes.

The FCC approved the merger of Paramount+ and Skydance.  That came about because they fired Steven Colbert, who 47 did not like.  Shortly after that, Paramount+ paid $1.5B to the South Park creators for streaming rights of all the shows, and future shows.  Shortly after that, the South Park writers started mocking 47 and his tiny penis.  Here is the Satan scene which 47 really does not like.

Apparently 47 is not happy about any of this.  

I don't think we're ever going to know much about 47 and what he did with Epstein.  Prosecutors could just ask the women who were involved back then, but I guess that is too much to ask for.
