I had planned on writing a well reasoned, and organized post, but it's late in the day and I am unmotivated. So, here is what I've put in my "to be blogged" file in no particular order.
One of the crypto currencies was hacked, $1.5B was stolen. This is why it probably should nor replace gold as the basis for our currency. Here is an article on that subject. I personally find the whole thing astonishing and ridiculous.
Why you might need a measles booster. It depends on what type of original shot you got, and how old you are. I got the MMR a few years ago, and am happy about that. This is from the article, "But public health experts say there are some adults who should consider getting revaccinated. That includes older adults who were born after 1957 and were vaccinated before 1968. That's because early versions of the measles vaccine were made from an inactivated (killed) virus, which didn't work particularly well, Offit says. That's why the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends that anyone vaccinated before 1968 get at least one dose of the live attenuated vaccine."
Read this, we've become jackals.
We saw this the last time we rode the mountain bikes. Pretty cool, eh?
These are known as jellyfish clouds. They're altocumulus clouds with virga
"tails". There's just enough moisture for those clouds to produce rain, but
it evaporates quickly.
Musk put out an edict that government workers must send a list of five things they did that week. Twitter users and bloggers are rising to the challenge.
Liam Nissan is a parody account. However, it's amazing how many
republicans think he is Liam Neeson. He apologizes to Mr. Neeson about
once a month.
Welp, blogger just quit wrapping text again, so I guess I'm done typing.
Re text wrapping. hit enter a couple of times. That gets you below the stupid place. Go to the text justifying place at the top and select left justify. Go back to the lower place and begin typing. Blogger Brains will be restored. Also, to delete all the white space at the bottom, if too much, put the cursor at the very bottom and hit delete until it will delete no more. It quits before it reaches the text.
ReplyDeleteThat's all I can add. I may email the gov.
Whether you need a measles booster also depends on whether you got measles before vaccine was invented. My doctor tells me I am officially immune because of severe childhood measles. So there's that!
ReplyDeleteMe too. Thanks. Barbara from Houston
DeleteI love that there is an account called, Nurses against Dick Pics. She's my hero!
ReplyDeleteI had Measles as a Kid, probably got a Vax when they Invented one too. Sad that it's making a comeback due to Anti-Vaxxers, some of the Old Hits will be back even tho' many have been eradicated for so long a lot of the Younger Adults have no idea how dangerous many of them were before Vaccines.
ReplyDeleteI never got the measles regardless of how many times I was exposed to it, natural immunity I guess but when I was working for my dad's lab picking up blood and tissue from clinics and doctor offices one of them insisted I get the vaccine anyway and gave it to me then and there when I was 23.
ReplyDeleteAs far as I'm concerned crypto currency is a scam.Do people really use it to buy stuff. I guess that's why Trump wants to steal the gold in Ft. Knox.
I refuse to invest money in something that makes no sense to me. I read about a guy who lost millions because he forgot his password. Do you have any idea how many times I have forgotten a password?
ReplyDeleteThose 'jellyfish clouds' are awesome! I've never seen such a thing that I'm aware of.
IMO, crypto currency is simply another Ponzi scheme. It amuses me when hackers do their thing.
ReplyDeleteWhen Ukraine was invaded by Russia three years ago (!), the Canadian government seized the funds of Russian oligarchs held in Canadian financial institutions. Today, PM Trudeau has pledged those funds to Ukraine.
Between anti-vaxxers, raw milk proponents, denial of women's healthcare, I suspect the death rate among children in the US will soon rival that of some third world countries.
On the other hand, I'm not sure I've ever seen jellyfish clouds. How cool are they?
Did you see the army chorus sang the rebellion anthen "Do You Hear the People Sing" from Les Mis? I'm fascinated by this. Look up the lyrics and you'll see why.
ReplyDeleteContext: They sang it at the Governor's Ball at the White House last night, in front of 47 and Flotus. I'm sure 47 thought it was about him, but it surely was not.
ReplyDeleteI doubt seriously if it occurred to any of them, what was being said. It was a pretty gutsy move on their part.
DeleteHmmmm...I hadn't realized I may need a new measles vaccine! Ugh!
ReplyDeleteLove the "five things" some much more creative minds than mine came up with. LOVE. This sounds like the kind of corporate crap I had to do when I was gainfully employed. Never have I been happier to be retired. LOVE the jellyfish clouds; had never heard of or seen them - thanks for that.
