More From the Desert

Ho hum, another day of the orange wombat trying to subvert the election.  The wombat's crack legal team is 0-12 (win-loss) in their court challenges.  Some of the alleged mid-deeds being litigated include one poll watcher who thought "people were looking at her funny."  Please.

The last couple of days have been somewhat unnerving.

These people are all wombat suck-ups.  Unencumbered by facts or data, it doesn't look good to me, but I can't really articulate why.

We rode yesterday, it was cold.  Undershirts and vests were required at the outset.  About half way through, the vests came off.  It was a glorious day, as was today.  This morning we had a visit from a rabbit.  He looks young to me.

Today we hiked about two miles.  We were once again convinced that there is virtually no cross over between hike and bike.  Look at that sky, that's an autumn sky.

This is always a sad thing to see.

A day or two ago, there were pink clouds.

Martha McSally, who has been defeated in her races for a Senate seat TWICE IN TWO YEARS, has yet to concede to Mark Kelly.  It wasn't even close, one wonders what she's waiting for.

So, other than remarking on how out of control the pandemic is, and how many people still equate wearing a mask with being a liberal, there is really not a whole lot to report.  It's difficult when one does not go many places or see any people.

  1. where you live, at the moment, is gorgeous! You need not go anywhere else. That rabbit is the the cutest baby I have seen all day. The susnshine looks amazing, you know we are under the darkness here and it is really cold! Feels like snow...smells like snow. I am jealous of your sky!

    1. It always comes down to which terrible season you want to experience where you live. We had the hottest summer in recorded history, and it was well and truly awful. I remember winter in the PNW, it was also well and truly awful.

  2. Interesting about McSally -- I hadn't heard that. I guess she's hanging on in case the anti-Trump ballots are thrown out and that gives her a boost? I think the DOD stuff IS disturbing, but I read a theory that it's just to give those Trump loyalists some more management experience to pad their resumes for when the Repubs win again someday. (Assuming they do! LOL)

    Cute rabbit!

  3. Beautiful sky. Wonderful landscape. So much grows and happens in the desert.

  4. We may not be going many places or seeing many people, but oh what a glorious back yard you have out there in the desert. I am grateful to your home state of Arizona for flipping to blue. Gives me hope.

  5. Putting toadies in place makes it easier for Trump to pull our remaining troops out of Afghanistan without regard to Taliban compliance with withdrawal agreements.

  6. The never ending never ending saga.
The desert is beautiful. Which is better, biking or hiking?

    1. Biking. As I get older, my feet like the rocks less. All of the trails are rocky and they hurt more than they used to.

  7. that beautiful intense blue sky!I don't hike, no where around her to do that and my bike is in a slow stage of disintegration. I should resurrect it.

Trump is done. he's demoralized and depressed according to the rumors that trickle out of the White House, worried about being arrested. my daughter thinks he will go to Mar A Lago for Thanksgiving and just never come back. he isn't doing his job just spends his days watching TV and on the phone trying to get people to go to battle for him. word is no one wants to take his calls. still vindictive though, refusing to allow Biden's transition team access. and yeah what is up with those firings? Biden will replace his loyalists immediately.
