If you are a Star Trek fan you will recognize the reference to when Spock died saving the ship, and Bones told Kirk, He's dead Jim. So it is with my laptop. This morning the battery was completely discharged, it would not charge, and while we were at the grocery store it died. Posting maybe a little light in the near future.
Just in time for
ReplyDeleteSanta to bring you a new thing!! Great timimg.
Hope you haven't lost much information on it.
ReplyDeleteI just got a new computer yesterday. I wanted to make sure everything got transferred before my old one died. Good luck with yours.
ReplyDeleteDang! That isn't good. I seem to lose my laptop about every 2 years which is ridiculous. They should last longer than that. Hope Santa brings you a new one!
ReplyDeleteMy battery died a grisly death but I just leave the laptop plugged in and it works like a table top.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry... I recently replaced my Ancient Computer, Ancient Camera and Ancient Cellphones the Family had... they were Dead Jim.
ReplyDeleteIf it's just the battery, you should be able to replace that yourself! I ordered a new one from HP and followed the instructions found on YouTube University. It was easy! If I can resuscitate, you can too!
ReplyDeleteAwww, that sucks. As Taketothehighway says, though, it might just be the battery, and that is normally an easy replacement if it is intended to be consumer-replaceable (not all are). Since I'm behind on your blog, I am sure you've already resolved this.
