The jury voted to convict former police officer Chauvin after eleven hours of deliberation; guilty on all three charges in the killing of George Floyd. I never thought this would happen.
I really hope it's a significant sentence, he earned it.
After watching some of the trial, I believed he would be convicted. Then I kept hearing how it would just never happen, a white cop convicted of killing a Black man. Thank the gods my initial instinct was right. I was jubilant when the verdict was read.
and did you see the picture of him as he was listening to the judge read the verdict? the disbelief and fear in his eyes, so good. I never thought it would happen, at most, guilty of the most lesser charge. it still has to go through all the appeals so lets hope the verdict stands. smug bastard.
I cried when I heard.
ReplyDeleteSome measure of justice, FINALLY.
ReplyDeleteFinally justice. But now its on to appeal after appeal.

ReplyDeleteHe's in jail awaiting sentencing. I hope he is in jail through the appeals. What a comedown, from a cocksure cop to a murderer.
