This is what we woke up to today.
We are not happy campers. I'm writing this at 10:22 (mountain) and it's snowing harder.
Note the lack of any mountains in the background.
It will be interesting to see which plants survive.
5:00 pm (mountain) Update to Post: It's hailing like hell! What's next? A plague of locusts?
This is quite the learning curve for you!
ReplyDeleteWe were snowed on in Tucson at Gilbert Ray on Feb 27, 2011 so I guess this isn't unheard of, just not expected. Hope the plants make it!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely a strange cold winter. No snow for us but rain and more rain. I see a bright light in the sky right now so I have hope.
ReplyDeleteMy forecast said snow all day, I just didn't believe it. Unfortunately, the weather guessers were correct THIS time. You have to admit it WAS beautiful!! About the only thing I'll lose is some lantana. Too bad I can't add the oleanders to that list. Even my palm trees have survived previous snow ... they just look a tad bit rough.
ReplyDeleteOh man! That's crazy!
ReplyDeleteLocusts are scheduled for March :)
