Saturday, after photographing the Shootout (see post below), we mooched around for awhile, and then drove up to Costco to get our new contact lenses. Then we decided to drive up to Kitt Peak. We got to the bottom of the mountain to discover it would close in 15 minutes. So we went up anyway. It's pretty cool looking at all the white observatory structures on the mountain top.
Coming back down we stopped at some of the scenic overlooks to take photos. It's pretty up there.
Today, Sunday, was supposed to be the Sunday morning breakfast ride, followed by some hill climbing. However, it was blowing the ears off the donkey so I hitched a ride in the car to the Rincon Market. Jim rode his bike in with 5 other people from the park, but they did not enjoy it. It was hootin'. At 6:35 pm it has finally stopped blowing. We are hopeful we'll be able to ride tomorrow.
This store is across 6th from the Rincon Market. It's a makeup store. I think their canopy is quite festive.
A canopy closeup.
That's the front of the Rincon, Jim and Jim E. are heading back to the park after breakfast.
Stores to the right of the Rincon. It's a nice little mall.
The next few days are going to be unseasonably HOT. It will be in the low 90's. This is way out of my personal comfort zone.
