We arrived in Charleston last Thursday, today being Sunday. It has rained almost all day every day since we got here. Thus far, Charleston has been somewhat trying. The weather is supposed to break tomorrow, one can only hope.
Today we went to the historic district of Charleston and walked around. We got rained on a fair amount. While we weren't being rained on, the wind was just howling. If it's better tomorrow, we're going to drive up to Cypress Gardens. I did get some pictures, it's really beautiful here. It reminds me of Savannah.
One of the best things about Charleston is the shrimp. We bought half a pound of the local shrimp intending to put it on the barbie (but no, it was raining). So we did it in a pan, and it was just wonderful. Sweet, succulent, just yummy. There are a lot of fish species here that are local. Bream, wahoo, grouper; to name a few.
So - here we are and here we be.
