Shoulder, Ride, and That Man

The shoulder pain is better, but not gone.  It still hurts in the back of my neck on the right side.  Oddly enough, riding the bicycle makes it better.  Standing with my arm unsupported, makes it worse.  I don't remember anyone telling me that old age would be one thing after another.

Thursday we rode up to the Morin trailhead, then up the hill to the McClellan trail head and then back to the car.  There was no air movement.  I love this photo of the silo reflected in the lake.

We went back again today.  It was warm, especially next to the bluff that reflects heat.  We were back to Morin trailhead.  Going to the lake has two really steep sections that I'm thinking I don't want to do yet.

The amount of basalt boulders never ceases to be impressive.  There is also a lot of fire damage.  Some regrowth is starting, but the trees are going to be gone for awhile.

A tree and a rock.

One wonders why that hill side was clear cut.  It's not replanted, it's just sitting there with naked soil.

Jim has a new Otterbox phone case.  Both of ours were black.  Jim gets a lot of spam calls, so when we're expecting a call, the phone must be picked up and the phone number looked at prior to answering.  Finding his phone vs mine in the car was a pain.  Now his is purple, and easily identified.  My phone is really old, and Otterbox and Spigen no longer make cases for it.  Someday I will be forced to get a new one, I am not looking forward to that.  However, there will be a better camera.

47 was sitting in the Oval Office yesterday, wearing a red hat.  One does not wear a hat in the Oval, I don't care who you are.  He was also covering the back of his right hand, which was covered in concealer.  It was a very bad match for his skin tones.  The twitterverse thinks it's to cover bruising from monthly infusions, possibly an IV diuretic.  Additionally, his right eyelid was drooping.  The cankles are still extra large, which could indicate congestive heart failure.  What ever it is, it's not good.

However, despite his failing health he is doing this.  I've read military, and I've read National Guard.  Not sure who is going, just that it is bad.

Meanwhile the National Guard wandering about Washington D.C. are armed.  What could go wrong?

Yesterday he was also heard to say the following, as reported by the Washington Post.

President Donald Trump is signaling that he would step back for now from efforts to reach a Ukraine peace deal, expressing frustration over rising casualties and the failure of the two sides to come closer to a peace agreement.

“I’m not happy about anything about that war. Nothing. Not happy at all,” Trump told reporters in the Oval Office on Friday.  (He was also not happy about Russia bombing a US factory in Ukraine.)

He added that he would make an important decision about the future of the conflict in “two weeks,” a phrase that he often uses not to specify a precise time frame, but to indicate that he wants to put off a decision for a while. After that time, he said, “We’ll know which way I’m going, because I’m going to go one way or the other.”

The emphasis is mine.  He sounds deranged, again.

In news of Ukraine, they have a new cruise missile, the Flamingo.  It was named that because the first one out of the factory was pink due to a manufacturing error.  They have kept the pink nose.

There are many other 47 related things I could complain about, but I think I'll stop now.

OK, here's one more thing about which I shall complain.  47 issued a stop work on a wind farm in Rhode Island and Connecticut.  This project was to power many homes, and currently 45 turbines are standing.  Hopefully they'll get this reversed in court.  Article here

  1. We can only hope his physical and mental decline accelerates to where he can't complete his Term. I don't know whose waiting in the Wings, since Vance is a Joke... but I feel they'll begin eating their own once he's out of the way. OR whoever is REALLY in Charge will step into the Light and be Revealed... so then we'll know for sure whose been orchestrating all of this Soft Coup they're working on now.

  2. Entering old age is like entering a shooting gallery and you're the target! Keep dodging those bullets!

  4. Glad your bike riding is easier on your shoulder. Hope it continues to improve.
I don't know where the situation is going to end in the US, but it cannot happen too quickly.

  5. I have to say that I'm much encouraged by Newsom, and Pritkzer's push back though. It is a discouraging time. I believe that it will get worse before it gets better.
