When...We did this hike two years ago but in March. When we started it was warm and gorgeous. There were several hiking stick left near the entrance, so I picked up one just to try. Boy was I glad I did! About half way our trail turned into a winter wonderland... with snow covered trails, frozen creeks, and magnificent frozen waterfalls. Everything was so beautiful and we were quite comfortable with our shorts. The hard part were the icy rock steps and little climbs. My hiking stick was life saver. It made for a great adventure.
