Just Like That

She's gone.  She being the RV we just sold.  The RV is a Beaver Monterey, they're sort of a cult motorhome.  So we sold to a dealer in Bend, OR, because they move a lot of Beavers.  Bend is where the Beavers were produced, prior to their move to Coburg.  Selling to a dealer really cuts in to how much you can realize on the sale, but we just wanted to move product.

They sent a driver to collect her.  We met out at the storage facility this morning, pulled the tire covers and the few remaining items in the RV and he took her away.

Here she is at a local RV park while we were unloading. RV parks are good, they have dumpsters available.

My recliner.  I loved that recliner, I spent a lot of time in it.

The driver is installing a tow bar so he can tow his car back to Bend.


And now we are leaving.


We're a little sad.  We've let go of a life we lived for eleven years.  She was a great bus.

    We did the same thing and just like that a guy towed our 6 year old home away. Change is good and you will adapt very quickly! Have fun in Tucson!

    Ahhh that's sad. I don't know how much longer I will be "in the business". I hope it's as easy to divest of mine as your's was!! Now to relax and have fun in the sun.

    I lived in Bend for over a dozen years, I buried both my folks there. I also lived in Eugene near Coburg when I was much younger, so both city names jumped off the page at me. Thanks for sharing, she was a beautiful home indeed.

    That was a very nice motorhome and HOME for you for years, but I think you made the right decision. We too sold back to an RV dealer (the one we bought our Bay Star from), and although we could have done much better financially, this enabled us to sell on the very day we wanted...not a day earlier or later, providing us much-needed control of the situation, since we were living in her full-time and had our dog as well to worry about. Worked out well so long as we don't dwell on the numbers! Welcome back to Tucson. :-)
