Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving to you all. While this is not the winter season we thought we'd be having, it could be worse.  There could be snow.  So I am grateful to be wearing shorts.  Yesterday was a very cloudy day, but it brought a beautiful sunset.  We were awash in glowing pink.

The hummingbird continues to entertain us.  We're pretty sure we're getting the same one most of the time.

Today I was able to get the flash as he left the feeder.

Here he is, coming right at me, flashing pink.

Here's wishing you all a great opening day of the holiday season.

  1. I know this is a tough day for you both to feel "thankful," but you painted a beautiful picture nonetheless. I hope Jim is soon feeling as "in the pink" as that lovely sunset. Are you still going for Indian today? If so, hope it is an enjoyable feast full of good flavors!

    1. Yes, we are going to Sher e Punjab. They're irritating me some, they're refusing to take reservations today. I'm not clear on what their thought process might be. If' we can't be seated, there's always take out.

  2. You did good catching the hummingbird flashing its pink. I've been trying for a couple weeks now but no luck.
That incision of Jim's is really nasty looking. At least it got covered up by that snazzy cast!

    1. I've been trying for some time to get the flash. Up until they've just been unrecognizable pink blobs. They're so entertaining.

  4. Wonderful photos. The sunset is stunning, and you did great with the hummingbird; those can be hard to get since they move so fast. Hope you and Jim had a good Thanksgiving!
