First Hike Post Surgery

We hiked today for the first time since surgery.  It's less comfortable than being on the bicycle.  We hiked because it was cold, really really cold.  It was 51 degrees.

Actually, we dressed incorrectly for the climate.  I had on long pants, my long sleeved Patagonia shirt and my unattractive green shirt over that.  Too much!  Capris and the Patagonia shirt would have been plenty.  The sun was pretty strong, and there was no wind.  If it had been overcast, then the clothing would have been good.   Please make a note of this for next time.
Overall it was a good first hike.  The trails around here are strewn with rubble, so there are many pointy rocks looking to damage my tender foot.  We went close to three miles, so I'm declaring it to be a success.

  2. Sounds wonderful, snow and cold here. One hike at a time to full recovery!

  3. Yay! Glad to see that you are able to hike again. I can imagine it would be less comfy than riding since there's a lot more foot action and pressure. But still, good for you, and lovely photos.
