A Walk to the Post Office

We slept in this morning.  It was wonderful.  After breakfast we decided to walk down to the post office in Harrisburg to mail a letter and to get some exercise.  We used my smart phone in walking mode, and it consistently tried to take us to the wrong place.  It's weird, the phone uses Google maps, but we weren't getting the same search results as on the laptops.
Oregon is in bloom.  It's just amazing how much is in flower.  The cat in the upper right hand corner was in hiding in the foliage.

This is an old Victorian that is falling to rack and ruin.  It's sad to see it in such disrepair.

Look at the roses in the side yard.  No one is taking care of them, and yet they bloom.  In Seattle we tried so hard to grow them but mainly we raised mildew and black spot.

Roses are everywhere in town.

This is the bridge over the river.

The Riverbend RV park has been sold.  We are so depressed by this.  A religious organization has purchased the property and plans to close it as an RV park and build some sort of very large religious retreat.  This just sucks since the park is right across the street from Elite.

  1. Our Rosie cat does the same thing...if strangers come close she hunkers down and thinks she is invisible! Cute photo!
